Sailing with an Olympian

Yesterday the wind was very light and I almost didn't even go out but I was inspired by some Canadian Olympic Windsurfers I had met the night before who go out in all sorts of non-existent wind. I was out for quite a while just bobbing along, trying to catch the smallish waves that were coming through when I heard something very quickly coming up behind me. When I turned around, it was Kevin Stittle, on his race gear, a 9.5 meter sail and 22oL board. He was cruising up from Kanaha. That's a long ways up wind! I would love to try this gear sometime and am so inspired by people who can windsurf for their job. Very cool!
